Locums Emergency Medicine physician needed in Louisiana with low volume coverage and no call. Mix of day and night 12 hour shifts, with rushed credentialing and typical ED case mix across all ages.

Practice Setting
- Emergency Medicine coverage, mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
- All ages.
- Solo MD coverage, ER Director available for consult.
- NPs and PAs support at higher volume and higher acuity sites.
Schedule
- 12 hour shifts, days and nights.
- Scheduled hours are 6a to 6p and 6p to 6a.
- No call responsibilities.
- Coverage need begins mid October 2025.
Cases and Procedures
- Typical Emergency Medicine cases.
- ED procedures as needed, including intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and arterial lines.
- Possible intubation on the floors if a code is called and no hospitalist is present.
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO.
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active Louisiana license required, will not wait for license.
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS, DEA, NRP, and PALS required.
