WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a Level III Trauma Center in Lafayette, Indiana, approximately 1.5 hours from Chicago. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts in a busy emergency department with advanced practice provider coverage and scribe support.

Assignment Highlights

• Start Date: October 2026
• Assignment Duration: Ongoing
• Location: Lafayette, Indiana — approximately 1.5 hours from Chicago
• Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center
• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 50,000 visits
• Emergency Department: 33 beds, including 3 trauma bays
• Daily Coverage:
  • 37 hours of physician coverage
  • 36 hours of APP coverage
  • Scribe support available
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• EMR: Epic
• Indiana License: Preferred; IMLC candidates accepted

Requirements

• BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician
• Board-eligible candidates must provide proof they have taken their board examination
• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians will be considered with at least 5 years of emergency department experience
• Active Indiana medical license preferred
• IMLC candidates accepted
• Availability for ongoing coverage
