## Emergency Medicine Physician | Pullman, WA Eastern Washington — Rural Emergency Medicine on the Palouse Base Salary: $405,000 ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent hospital-employed position — 1.0 FTE * Schedule: Approximately 80% days / 20% nights — 34 hours of department coverage; physician sees 1.5 patients per hour during days * Setting: Emergency Department — award-winning critical access hospital * Telemedicine: No * Immigration assistance not available * Rural emergency medicine experience preferred — new graduates considered ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join a high-quality, physician-led ED staffed exclusively by board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physicians: * Department consults with local specialists and telemedicine on-call physicians * Coordinates directly with receiving specialists when transfers to a larger regional center are warranted * Close working relationships with EMS and area partners for seamless care across the continuum * Nurses who have built their careers in emergency care * Physician leadership and teaching opportunities available for those interested in expanding beyond clinical practice * Rural emergency medicine experience preferred — new graduates will be considered ## Compensation & Benefits * Base salary: $405,000 * Commitment incentive: 10% of base salary * Retention incentive: $100,000 over 5 years * Relocation stipend: $10,000 * CME allowance: $7,000 * Health, vision, and dental insurance * Retirement plan, life insurance, and short and long-term disability * Washington medical license and DEA reimbursement * Board certification and renewal reimbursement * Medical staff dues covered ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine * Active Washington State medical license or willingness to obtain * Rural emergency medicine experience preferred — new graduates considered * Immigration assistance not available ## About the Community – Pullman, Washington * Charming university city nestled in the rolling hills of the Palouse region — home of Washington State University * Four distinct seasons with easy access to year-round recreation — hiking, fishing, boating on the Snake River, hunting, and skiing in the nearby mountains * Safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, locally owned businesses, and diverse dining and shopping * Relaxed pace with welcoming people and landscapes that inspire a deep connection to the outdoors * Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport with daily flights to Seattle and Boise — larger airports in Spokane and Lewiston offering additional destinations * 75 miles south of Spokane — easy regional access throughout the Inland Northwest
