Locums – Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Site Medical Director – Emergency Medicine Opening

Clinical Role

• ASAP start
• Site Medical Director – Emergency Medicine
• Administrative and clinical responsibilities
• Approximately 120 hours per month: 33 administrative and 87 clinical hours
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Approximately 1.51 patients per hour
• Approximately 25% ED admission rate
• 2 shadow shifts for orientation

Schedule & Coverage

• Administrative shifts: approximately 8 hours
• Clinical shifts: approximately 9-12 hours
• Primarily AM and PM coverage
• Site Medical Director typically does not work nights unless there is a business need

Practice Model & Support

• Nurse/APP triage for lower-acuity patients
• Approximately 44 physician coverage hours per day
• Approximately 46 APP coverage hours per day
• Standard Emergency Department support staff

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine required
• Active Florida license required
• Florida DEA required
• Minimum 3 years of prior leadership experience required
• Clean file required
• Immediate and ongoing availability required
