This healthcare facility serves the Iron Mountain community and surrounding Upper Peninsula region, providing comprehensive emergency medicine services including 24-hour anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, radiology, and OR response support. The facility manages an estimated 20,000 emergency visits per year with hospitalists handling admissions, ensuring a well-supported clinical environment for locum providers.Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency MedicineJob Details:
- Locum Tenens opportunity seeking ongoing coverage of approximately 6-8 shifts per month
- Night shifts are likely to be consecutive or scheduled in blocks
- Available shift times include 6p-6a, 6a-2p, and 1p-9p
- Estimated 20,000 patient visits per year with approximately 20 encounters per shift
- Hospitalists handle all admissions, allowing providers to focus on emergency care
- Newborn deliveries are received in the ED; L&D department is on-site
- 24-hour support services available including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, and radiology
- Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible accepted
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required
- AHA certification is required
- Providers with pending malpractice claims will not be considered
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
- No state license requirement to bid
- Nearest airport is Iron Mountain; lodging provided via per cap
