Are you a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician looking for a high-paying locum opportunity in the beautiful Pacific Northwest? We are seeking two full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide ongoing coverage at a busy Emergency Department in Seattle, Washington.

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who enjoy a flexible schedule, varied shifts, and a collaborative emergency medicine environment.

Position Highlights

  • Location: Seattle, WA
  • Setting: Emergency Department
  • Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
  • Start Date: ASAP (Emergency/Temporary Privileges Available)
  • Duration: Ongoing through 2027
  • Coverage Needed: 2 Full-Time Physicians
  • EMR: Epic
  • Support Staff: Experienced RNs
  • Compensation: Up to $270
  • Travel and lodging assistance available for qualified candidates
The ideal physician will be available for approximately 15 shifts per month and willing to provide ongoing coverage.

Clinical Details

  • 8-14 patients per shift
  • 8-14 admissions per day
  • Mostly medical cases
  • Low trauma volume
  • Medium to high acuity patient population
  • Collaborative team environment

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients
Manage a broad range of emergency medical conditions
Collaborate with consultants, hospitalists, and care teams
Participate in patient handoffs and continuity of care
Support quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
Active Washington Medical License
Emergency Medicine Residency Training
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA certifications
Clean malpractice and background history
Ability to work a flexible schedule and varied shift times

Working Hours

Schedule

Providers must be willing to work varied shifts based on facility needs, including:

Mid Shift: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Weekdays)
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Weekends)
PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Weekdays)
PM Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Weekends)

Potential future night shifts may include:

6:00 PM - 3:00 AM
10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
