Job description

A tertiary Level II trauma hospital in the Marshfield, WI area needs an EM physician, ASAP start, ongoing, 10-20 shifts a month. No call. Top of market pay, glad to share the actual number directly. Greatest need is night shift (6p-6a).

Job Responsibilities

Combined ED/Urgent Care, 38 beds, 100-180 patients per 24 hours. Level 3 PEDS, Level 3 NICU with in-house OB, very few transfers out (occasionally significant burns, pediatric ECMO needs, or transplant patients). Perform procedural sedation, airway management, and central lines, ultrasound-guided vascular access is common with trained support staff. Supervise code blue response and hold varying responsibility on the trauma team. Supervise APPs and residents/teaching activity. Shifts run 6a-6p, 6p-6a, or 10a-10p, typically 12 hours. Chart in Cerner, real-time Mobile Time Clock use required (GPS preferred). Orientation is a required weekday, 8am-5pm, the day before your first shift.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible, ABEM specifically required. ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required. No state license required to bid. Credentialing runs approximately 60 days if clean file.

Working Hours

10-20 shifts/month, 12-hour shifts (6a-6p, 6p-6a, or 10a-10p), no call. Greatest need is night shift.

Skills

High-acuity combined ED/UC coverage, procedural sedation, central lines, code blue supervision, trauma team response, APP and resident supervision.
