JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS, or AOA)
  
• Licenses: Active TN Medical License, Active DEA with TN address
  
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Tennessee address required
  
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not ABEM Board Certified), NRP (if applicable)
  
• Experience: New graduates accepted; EM residency training required
  
• Other Qualifications: Supervising physician for APPs, case logs past 2 years, immunization records, Preclampsia-Eclampsia CME
  

DUTIES & RESONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care in a Level II Traum Center with 47,000 annual visits.
  
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as supervising physician.
  
• Collaborate with 33 APP hours daily to manage high-volume ED.
  
• Participate in credentialing and privileging requirements per facility policy.
  
• Communicate with affiliated EM departments (Bristol Regional EM, Johnson City EM, Holston Valley EM) as required.
