- Dates: November 13th through January 25th
- Open FTE with open shift coverage; average ~15 open shifts/month (first come, first served).
- Shift lengths vary: 9-12 hours; common times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 5p-2a, 8a-5p.
- No call.
- Coverage model: 1-2 physicians days; 1 physician nights.
- Peak ED volume: 11a-11p.
- Near-term openings concentrated Nov 2026-Jan 2027; client prioritizes candidates who can cover many of these shifts.
- Average of 15 open shifts per month - first come first serve
- Role: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician (ED coverage only).
- Setting: Teaching hospital; Trauma Level III; 250 beds.
- Volume: ~77 ED patients/day; ~33,000 annual visits;
- APPs: 1-2 per shift; physician supervision required.
- Inpatient responsibilities: None. Outreach: None.
- EMR: Epic.
- Certifications: Board Certified ABEM only., ATLS required (for trauma privileges)., Active Iowa license or IMLC; facility will wait for license; ability to be privileged quickly (credentialing looks back 10 years; avoid lengthy work histories).
