A hospital system in the Eureka, CA area needs EM physicians, December 2026 dates open now with 2027 coverage being finalized. $310/hour days, $335/hour nights. Providers with a clean file may be eligible to start as early as December, otherwise start is January. A pilot program pays $400/hr days and $425/hr nights for providers who commit to 5-7+ shifts a month consistently, plus a separate $25/hr incentive on top of the standard rate for confirmed night shifts.

Job Responsibilities

Hospital-based inpatient ED coverage, no call. Shift options: 3p-12a, 8a-4p, 1p-11p, 9p-6a, 11p-8a. Average 110 patients per 24 hours. 8 guaranteed hours per shift, OT after 12 hours (pre-approved by the medical director).

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency. ABEM or ABEOM certification required, ABIM/ABFM not accepted. Active California license required, no IMLC. DEA required. 2-3 physician references (name, email, phone) required for a medical director reference check.

Working Hours

Shift-based, 5 shift patterns available (3p-12a, 8a-4p, 1p-11p, 9p-6a, 11p-8a). No call.
