Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine Physician coverage needed with an average of 15 open shifts per month
  
• Shift lengths range from 9 to 12 hours covering day and night hours
  
• No on-call responsibilities required
  
• 1-2 Physicians cover day hours and 1 Physician covers night hours
  
• Works alongside 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers with supervision of APPs expected
  
• Emergency Department volume averages 77 patients per day with 33,000 annual visits
  
• Peak/busiest shifts occur during 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  
• Less than 3% of patients are transferred out
  
• Level 3 Trauma Center with 250 beds
  
• Teaching hospital opportunity
  
• EMR system used is EPIC
  
• Board Certification through ABEM required
  
• ATLS certification required for trauma privileges
  
• Active Iowa license or IMLC required
  
• Clean background required

It is a 250-bed hospital and Level 3 Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Department seeing approximately 33,000 patients annually.
