Position Overview

A well-established emergency department in Auburn, New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a long-term locum tenens opportunity. This position offers flexible scheduling, strong specialty support, and the opportunity to practice broad-spectrum emergency medicine in a collaborative environment.

Providers interested in a consistent schedule of 10+ shifts per month are preferred. The assignment is available ASAP with a minimum commitment of 13 weeks.

Compensation & Schedule

• $300/hour for Emergency Medicine trained and Board-Certified/Board-Eligible physicians

• $275-$285/hour for Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained physicians with Emergency Medicine experience

• 12-hour day and night shifts available

• Flexible scheduling

Position Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum emergency evaluation, stabilization, and medical management

• Perform procedures including airway management, resuscitation, wound care, orthopedic reductions, and procedural sedation

• Manage trauma activations, critically ill patients, and time-sensitive emergencies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

• Participate in departmental quality initiatives and peer review activities

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred

• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with significant Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered

• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain

• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
