Looking for a flexible Emergency Medicine locums opportunity with a strong clinical mix and a supportive rural hospital environment? We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a busy Level III Trauma Center with approximately 16,000 annual ED visits.
This 63-bed rural hospital provides 24-hour Emergency Department coverage and offers physicians the opportunity to care for a broad range of emergency cases in a setting where higher-acuity patients are stabilized and transferred when necessary.

Patient Population & Case Mix
The patient population is largely elderly, with cardiac and respiratory complaints making up a significant portion of ED visits.
The ED sees a variety of Level III Emergency Medicine cases, including:
- Major trauma
- Cardiac emergencies
- Respiratory emergencies
- Psychiatric emergencies
- Neurosurgical cases
- Other critical and acute presentations
Critical patients are stabilized and transferred to tertiary care centers when a higher level of care is required.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Physicians have input in creating their schedules
- Typical schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts one week and 4 twelve-hour shifts the following week
- Per diem and part-time options available
- 24-hour ED
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine physicians will be considered
- MDs and DOs welcome
- In-practice physicians, residents, fellows, and military-trained physicians considered
