Healthcare United is seeking an Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead a high-volume, high-acuity hospital emergency department in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley. This permanent, full-time W2 leadership opportunity combines meaningful departmental influence with a reduced clinical commitment, allowing dedicated time for team development, operational strategy, quality improvement, and clinical excellence.
The physician will lead a collaborative team of emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers and will help shape staffing, workflows, quality initiatives, performance goals, and continued program growth.
The advertised compensation range is $325,000-$375,000. The package also includes leadership and clinical compensation components, potential start-date incentive compensation, holiday pay, and comprehensive W2 benefits. Specific compensation details will be discussed directly with qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities
• Guide department strategy, operational processes, quality initiatives, and performance improvement
• Help shape, develop, and support the emergency medicine physician and advanced practice provider team
• Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and clinical stakeholders
• Help align nursing and emergency medicine workflows to improve department performance and patient care
• Support clinical excellence in a high-acuity emergency care environment
• Use performance data to monitor results and advance quality goals
• Maintain an active clinical presence within the reduced clinical commitment
Qualifications
• Experienced Emergency Medicine physician with the clinical background to lead a high-acuity emergency department
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and collaborate across clinical and administrative groups
• Commitment to quality, operational performance, patient care, and clinician engagement
• New graduates are not eligible for this Medical Director position
