Job description
Seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a long-term locum tenens assignment at a community hospital in Central Wyoming. The provider will work approximately 12 day or night shifts per month in an 8-bed emergency department with manageable patient volume, specialty backup, and the potential for an ongoing extension.
Job Responsibilities
Perform initial assessments, resuscitation, and stabilization
Complete emergency procedures within the physician’s scope of practice
Admit or transfer patients when clinically appropriate
Collaborate with hospital staff and specialty backup
Document patient care accurately using Medhost
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain a Wyoming license
Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
Recent Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Comfortable working independently in a rural community hospital
Available for both day and night shifts
Working Hours
Twelve-hour day shifts: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Twelve-hour night shifts: 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
Weekday and weekend coverage
Long-term assignment lasting at least six months, with potential for extension
