WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locums opportunity in Louisiana beginning ASAP. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Emergency Medicine physician looking for flexible coverage across day, swing, and night shifts in a large, high-volume hospital.

• Board Certification: BC/BE — ABEM/AOBEM only
• Licensure: IMLC candidates accepted
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• ATLS: Required at one time during career for ABEM physicians

Clinical Environment

The Emergency Department is part of a 576-bed hospital with an annual Emergency Department volume of approximately 46,000 patients. Providers will work within a collaborative coverage model that includes dedicated APP and scribe support.

The assignment offers opportunities for day, swing, and night coverage, with all shifts structured as 12-hour shifts.

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• ABEM or AOBEM candidates only
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
• Active Louisiana medical license required, or IMLC candidates will be considered
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• ATLS required
• For ABEM physicians, ATLS
• Must be available for day, swing, and/or night coverage
