Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Opportunity – Potosi, MO

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Potosi, Missouri. This position offers 12-hour day and night shifts in a Critical Access Hospital with approximately 13,000 annual ED visits. Physicians with Emergency Medicine experience who are Board Certified in an accepted primary care specialty may also be considered.

Schedule

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
• Night Shift: 6:30 PM–6:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Daily overtime after 12 hours
• Weekly overtime after 168 hours

Practice Setting

• Critical Access Hospital
• 29 hospital beds
• 10-bed Emergency Department
• Approximately 13,000 annual ED visits
• Trauma room
• Minor care
• Triage
• Hazmat capabilities
• PowerChart/PowerDocs EMR

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Emergency Medicine experience required
• Active Missouri medical license must be in hand at presentation
• Active DEA must be in hand at presentation
• Board Certification must be in hand at presentation
• ACLS required
• BC/BE physicians in a Primary Care specialty with Emergency Medicine experience may be considered
• Fellowship preferred
• No telehealth

• Missouri medical license
• BNDD license
• DEA
• Board Certification documentation
• CME documentation from the previous two years
• Procedure logs
• Current Tdap
• Current flu vaccine
• TB testing
• MMR and Varicella vaccination or titers
• Hepatitis B quantitative antibody
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption

Ideal Candidate

An experienced Emergency Medicine Physician comfortable practicing in a Critical Access Hospital and independently managing a broad range of emergency presentations. Candidates must already have their Missouri license, DEA, and Board Certification documentation in hand at the time of presentation.
