Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, North Carolina is seeking a solo Emergency Room physician for 12-hour shift coverage across November and December 2026. Family Practice board certification accepted alongside Emergency Medicine board certification. One of the fastest credentialing timelines on the locum EM desk — approximately 14 days for a clean file with temp privileges available.

One hard gate before anything else: the physician must be currently credentialed with NC Medicaid and enrolled in PECOS. This is non-negotiable and verified at submission. Do not apply if these are not already in place.

Hospital-owned apartments provided at no cost. $300/hr flat rate for all shifts.

Job Responsibilities

Solo ED coverage, 12-hour shifts. One physician on with two mid-level split coverage. Open ICU. 90 to 100 daily patients with approximately 18 to 20 patients seen per 12-hour shift. Annual volume 32,000. Community emergency medicine — not a Level I trauma center. Meditech 6.1 EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified Emergency Medicine or Family Practice physician with active EM practice. NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment required and verified at submission. NC license or IMLC required. Clean background required. Temp privileges available for clean files. Credentialing approximately 14 days.

Working Hours

12-hour shifts, days and nights. November dates: 11/1, 11/7, 11/17, 11/18, 11/24, 11/27. December dates: 12/12, 12/19-12/26, 12/29. Cover one shift or multiple — flexible commitment. $300/hr.
