Integrative Emergency Services (IES) is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Nocturnist to join our emergency medicine team at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced emergency physician looking for a dedicated nocturnist role in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center with strong physician and APP coverage.
Position Highlights
- Full-Time Emergency Medicine Nocturnist
- 9-hour night shifts
- Approximately 110,000 annual ED visits
- Level I Trauma Center
- 99 hours of physician coverage per day
- 82 hours of APP coverage per day
- Approximately 20% admission rate
- W-2 employment with IES
- High-acuity, tertiary-care emergency medicine environment
- Work alongside an experienced emergency medicine team
Practice Overview
Baylor University Medical Center is a major tertiary-care medical center serving the Dallas area and surrounding communities. The emergency department provides care across a broad spectrum of medical and surgical emergencies, including high-acuity trauma and critically ill patients.
With approximately 110,000 annual emergency department visits, the department offers the clinical volume and acuity that make this an excellent setting for physicians who enjoy a challenging emergency medicine practice.
The department maintains substantial daily physician and APP coverage, providing a collaborative environment while supporting the demands of a busy Level I Trauma Center.
Nocturnist Opportunity
The nocturnist physician will provide overnight emergency medicine coverage as part of the department's physician team.
The role is well suited for physicians who prefer dedicated overnight practice and enjoy managing a broad range of emergency presentations in a high-volume academic/tertiary-care environment.
Qualifications
- ABEM certified or ABEM eligible
- Active or eligible for a Texas medical license
- Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
- Current DEA registration or eligibility
- Must be eligible for W-2 employment
