JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, AOBEM, AOBFM, AOBIM)
- Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license; Active DEA with Mississippi address and Schedules II-V
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA required with Mississippi address
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA only), ATLS, PALS, BLS (unless EM boarded)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience; Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Other Qualifications: Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for past 2 years; immunization requirements (COVID, Flu, Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Hep B, TB test)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency medicine coverage during 12-hour shifts (6a-6p and 6p-6a).
- Manage an average of 47 patients per day in the ED.
- Perform clinical procedures consistent with emergency medicine practice (e.g., intubation, central line placement, laceration repair).
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Adhere to credentialing and compliance requirements, including documentation and immunization standards.
