Emergency Medicine Physician – Arkansas | 10 Shifts per Month | Locums

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This position offers a flexible schedule with 10 shifts per month, strong APP support, and the opportunity to practice in a high-volume emergency department serving a broad patient population.

Assignment Details

Schedule

• 12-hour physician shifts
• Flexible scheduling
• Saturday–Friday work week
• No call requirements

Practice Setting

• Emergency Department
• 333-bed hospital
• Approximately 40,000 annual ED visits
• 18% admission rate
• Allscripts EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of emergency conditions
• Manage adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated
• Provide comprehensive emergency department coverage

Support Staff

• 24-hour NP/PA coverage
• Collaborative emergency medicine environment

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Residency training in:
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • General Surgery
• Arkansas medical license or the ability to obtain one
• DEA with Arkansas prescribing authority
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through:
  • ABEM
  • ABFM
  • ABIM
• Prior emergency medicine experience required

Certifications

• ATLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• BLS required

Additional Qualifications

• Non-board-certified physicians must document 2,500 emergency department hours within the previous five years
• Broad emergency medicine experience is essential
