Job description
We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for an urgent-priority opportunity at a Western Missouri hospital.

This position offers a community-based Emergency Medicine practice with a manageable annual volume, established physician and advanced practice provider coverage, and a Level III Trauma Center designation.

Qualified physicians should be comfortable practicing in an environment with limited specialty backup and managing a broad range of emergency presentations.

Clinical Environment:
Approximately 18,000 annual ED visits
Approximately 50–60 patients per day
24 hours of physician coverage
12 hours of mid-level coverage
Approximately 23% admission rate
Level III Trauma Center
52 hospital beds
13 ED beds
Limited specialty backup
Nearest major trauma center: Kansas University
Floor codes required

Schedule:
12-hour shifts
6:00 AM–6:00 PM
Consistent daytime coverage opportunity

EMR & Documentation:
Epic EMR
Dragon voice-recognition technology available
No traditional scribe coverage listed

Physician Requirements:
Board Certification:
Candidates should meet one of the following:
ABEM or BEEM
ABFM with Emergency Medicine experience
Alternative board certifications, such as ABPS, may be considered for physicians who successfully completed an Emergency Medicine-focused Family Medicine residency

Required Certifications:
ACLS
ATLS
PALS
NIHSS
Physicians should be comfortable managing the clinical responsibilities of a Level III Trauma Center and working with limited on-site specialty backup.

The Emergency Department provides:
24 physician coverage hours
12 mid-level coverage hours
13 ED beds
52 total hospital beds
Dragon voice-recognition documentation
Epic EMR
Level III trauma capabilities
