Take advantage of an exclusive locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician in Devils Lake, North Dakota. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to practice in a newly remodeled 8-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 20+ patients and a broad range of emergency presentations.
Ideal for physicians seeking night-shift locum coverage, clinical autonomy, diverse patient exposure, and a short-term travel assignment. Enjoy the opportunity to expand your emergency medicine experience while working alongside hospitalist, radiology, laboratory, and nursing teams with strong clinical support.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage acute and complex medical conditions and perform emergency procedures within scope of practice.
• Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate transfers when necessary.
• Collaborate with nursing, radiology, laboratory, and hospitalist teams.
• Admit or transfer patients based on clinical needs and maintain accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications
• Board Certified required.
• Emergency Medicine experience required.
• ATLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
• Comfortable working in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
• Ability to manage a broad range of emergency conditions and acuities.
Working Hours
• Night coverage strongly preferred.
• Coverage Dates:
o September 5–11, 2026
o October 14–16, 2026
o November 1–8, 2026
o December 11–16, 2026
• Start: ASAP
