• Locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician
• Coverage needed during a transitional staffing period
• Newly remodeled 8-bed Emergency Department
• Average daily census of 20+ patients with varying acuity
• Strong preference for physicians available for night shifts
• Hospitalist available in-house/on-call for admissions
• 24/7 radiology and laboratory support
• Coverage needed during a transitional staffing period
• Newly remodeled 8-bed Emergency Department

• 24/7 radiology and laboratory support
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage acute and complex medical conditions
• Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice
• Stabilize and coordinate transfer of critically ill patients when necessary
• Collaborate with nursing, radiology, laboratory, and hospitalist teams
• Admit or transfer patients based on clinical needs
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Qualifications
• Board Certified required
• Emergency Medicine experience required
• ATLS required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Comfortable working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Ability to manage a broad range of emergency conditions and acuities
Working Hours
• Night coverage strongly preferred
• Coverage dates:
• September 5–11, 2026
• October 14–16, 2026
• November 1–8, 2026
• December 11–16, 2026
• Start: ASAP / September 5, 2026

• Advanced trauma and resuscitation skills
• ATLS expertise
• Ability to handle varying patient acuity
• Strong clinical decision-making
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Ability to work independently in a Critical Access Hospital
