Join an established Emergency Department in Northeastern Kansas offering 12-hour shifts, strong physician coverage, APP support, and the resources of a Level III Trauma Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician with Emergency Department experience who is looking for a well-supported clinical environment and a predictable shift schedule.

Job Responsibilities
Physicians will work collaboratively with APPs, nursing staff, and hospital teams while providing efficient, high-quality care in a Level III Trauma Center. The physician will also respond to hospital floor codes as needed and ensure timely, accurate documentation in Epic.
Approximately 50–60 patients per day
24 hours of physician coverage
12 hours of APP/mid-level coverage
23% admission rate
Physicians participate in floor codes
Limited specialty backup
Qualifications
ABFM Board Certified/Board Eligible with Emergency Medicine experience
Alternative boards, including ABPS, may be considered with successful completion of an Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine residency

ACLS
ATLS
PALS
NIHSS
Working Hours
Skills
Rapid assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
Emergency and trauma management
Advanced resuscitation and life-support skills
Ability to perform common emergency department procedures
Strong clinical decision-making and critical-thinking skills
Ability to effectively prioritize patients in a fast-paced environment
Effective collaboration with APPs, nurses, and other clinical team members
Clear patient, family, and interdisciplinary communication
Accurate and timely EMR documentation
Ability to manage admissions, discharges, and transfers appropriately
Ability to respond effectively to hospital codes and medical emergencies
