## Emergency Medicine Physician Opening (2028 Start) | Duluth, MN Located in Duluth, Minnesota Full-Time, Permanent ## Practice Overview * Full-time Emergency Medicine opportunity with an anticipated 2028 start * Join a collaborative regional Emergency Medicine team serving Duluth and surrounding communities * Practice through a hub-and-spoke model, working approximately half of shifts in Duluth and half at selected regional Emergency Departments * Provide comprehensive emergency care across both urban and rural settings * Duluth practice features: * 42,000 annual Emergency Department visits * State-of-the-art 40-bed Emergency Department * Double and triple physician coverage with Advanced Practice Provider support seven days per week * 8- and 9-hour physician shifts * Full-spectrum Emergency Medicine, including pediatric emergency care * Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center * Access to comprehensive specialty and subspecialty support, including PICU, NICU, neurointerventional, STEMI, psychiatry, and behavioral health services * Opportunity to teach Family Medicine residents and medical students * Regional practice includes coverage at selected sites in: * Aurora * Virginia * Moose Lake * Sandstone * Deer River * Superior, Wisconsin * Regional Emergency Departments see 3,500–12,000 annual visits * Flexible scheduling with a customized mix of urban and rural practice locations * Regional sites offer 12-hour shifts, with optional 24-hour shifts at select locations * Telemedicine support available for stroke, psychiatry, cardiology, NICU, and hospice care * Strong physician leadership, supportive consultants, and excellent nursing retention ## Compensation & Recruitment Package * Hourly rate: $246.51 * Additional earning potential through: * Performance bonuses * Quality incentives * Production-based compensation ## Job Qualifications * MD or DO * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine * Strong commitment to providing emergency care in both tertiary and rural settings * Excellent teamwork and communication skills * Minnesota medical license or eligibility ## Benefits * Competitive employed physician compensation package * Performance and quality incentive opportunities * Flexible scheduling * Collaborative physician-led Emergency Medicine group * Teaching opportunities * State-of-the-art tertiary care facility with strong specialty support * Professional development and leadership opportunities ## Community Details Duluth is a vibrant Lake Superior community consistently recognized as one of America's premier outdoor destinations.
