Join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team on Florida's Treasure Coast. HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to practice in our busy Level II Trauma Center and affiliated Free-Standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach. This opportunity offers strong compensation, excellent specialty support, academic involvement, and an exceptional coastal lifestyle.
Opportunity Highlights
- Level II Trauma Center with diverse, high-acuity patient population
- More than 106,000 annual visits across the main Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department
- Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department
- Freestanding Emergency Department in Vero Beach
- Approximately 2.0 patients per hour
- 26% admission rate
- 70 physician coverage hours daily
- 60 APP coverage hours daily
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and interventional cardiac care services
- Multiple dedicated ED ultrasound units and GlideScopes
- 24/7 in-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage
- No floor codes or inpatient consult responsibilities
Qualified Candidates
- Board certified or board eligible through ABEM or AOBEM
- Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
- Board certification achieved within five years of residency completion
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to provide occasional coverage at the Vero Beach Freestanding Emergency Department
Compensation & Benefits
- 1099 compensation approximately $315-$335 per hour
- W2 employment option available
- Commencement bonus available for employed physicians
