Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine physician needed to cover both freestanding emergency department (FSED) and main hospital emergency department locationsMust be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
If not ABEM certified, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
Certifications accepted: IM, FP, or ABEM
12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM shifts
Duration of need: 6-12 months to start
FSED operates with 12 bays, single provider coverage, low to mid acuity patients, and an admission rate of 8-10%
Main emergency department operates with 80 bays, multi-provider coverage, mid to high acuity patients, and an admission rate of approximately 30%
Patient volume averages 2-2.5 patients per hour at peak times
No trauma center designation
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
Orientation includes 2 shadow days and 1 IT/in-house orientation day
