Emergency Medicine Physician – Southeast Alaska
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for a flexible, long-term coverage opportunity in Southeast Alaska. This position offers scheduling flexibility, with options ranging from one week per month to full-time support.
Position Details:
- 5–15 shifts per month available
- Low-volume Emergency Department with an attached ER observation room
- Bread-and-butter Emergency Medicine practice
- No specialists on site; emergent cases are transferred to higher levels of care
- Limited swing bed utilization, primarily for acute rehabilitation
- Average daily volume:
- 3.5 ED patients per day
- 1 admission per day
- 2 inpatients per day
Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. shifts
- 4:00 p.m. – Midnight shifts with overnight call
Additional Details:
- Travel expenses covered
