Job Details:

• Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a Level I Trauma Center
  
• Must be Board Certified in ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine)
  
• Locum need is equivalent to 2 FTEs
  
• Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
  
• Preference for providers open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated freestanding emergency rooms
  
• Main hospital campus may consider less than 12-hour shifts; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
  
• Available shift times: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, and 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  
• No call involved
  
• All standard emergency room procedures required
  
• Required certifications include ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (must have taken ATLS at least one time)
  
• Average patient census of 106 with an annual ER admission rate of 34%
  
• Most common cases include trauma (penetrating), a large range of common presentations, sick patients, high volume of procedures, and transfers accepted from other hospitals
  
• Support staff covers everything except pediatrics
  
• Occasional use of robots for psychiatric cases
