Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine physician coverage required at a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with occasional coverage at main facilityMust be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
Board certification required: IM/FP/ABEM; if not ABEM certified, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
12-hour shifts with both AM and PM shift coverage needed
Single provider coverage model at FSED; multi-provider coverage at main facility
FSED consists of 12 bays handling low to mid acuity patients; main facility has 80 bays handling mid to high acuity patients
Patient volume of 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
FSED admission rate of 8-10% and approximately 30% at main facility
No trauma center designation
Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity available at main facility only, not at FSED
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
Standard emergency room support staff provided
Duration of need is 6 to 12 months to start
