Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine position covering freestanding emergency department (FSED) and occasionally main emergency departmentMust be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
Board certification requirements: IM/FP/ABEM; if not ABEM certified, must have minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency department
12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage
FSED operates with 12 bays handling low to mid acuity patients; main emergency department operates with 80 bays handling mid to high acuity patients
Patient volume of 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
Single provider coverage model at FSED; multi-provider coverage at main emergency department
ED admission rate of 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main emergency department
No trauma center designation
Standard emergency department support staff provided
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
