Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine position covering both freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) and main emergency department on an occasional basisMust be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
If not ABEM certified, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
Certifications/fellowships accepted: IM, FP, or ABEM
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage
FSED operates with 12 bays and sees low to mid acuity patients with single provider coverage
Main emergency department operates with 80 bays and sees mid to high acuity patients with multi-provider coverage
Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
ED admission rate is 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main emergency department
No trauma center designation
Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity patients available at main site only
Duration of need is 6-12 months to start
