Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) or have previous HCA experienceIf not ABEM certified, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department
Fellowship/certifications accepted: IM, FP, or ABEM
Duration of need: 6-12 months to start
12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage
Work at a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 12 bays, with occasional coverage at main facility with 80 bays
Patient volume of 2-2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
FSED patient mix is low to mid acuity; main facility patient mix is mid to high acuity
Single provider coverage model at FSED; multi-provider coverage at main facility
ED admission rate of 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main facility
No trauma center designation
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
Standard emergency department support staff provided
