Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine physician position covering both freestanding emergency department (FSED) and main hospital emergency department on an occasional basisMust be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
Board certification through IM, FP, or ABEM required; if not ABEM certified, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage needs
FSED features 12 bays with single provider coverage and low to mid acuity patient mix
Main emergency department features 80 bays with multi-provider coverage and mid to high acuity patient mix
Patient volume of approximately 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
FSED admission rate of 8-10% with main campus admission rate of approximately 30%
No trauma center designation
Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
Duration of need is 6 to 12 months to start
