Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Provide emergency medicine coverage with shifts available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMABEM board certification required
Full-time positions available with ongoing need
2 shadow shifts required for orientation
Perform ED procedures including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, incision & drainage, and central line placement
Average patient census of 55-60 patients daily with approximately 2 patients per hour, with occasional larger patient volumes
Most common cases include medical complaints such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, as well as basic trauma including falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports injuries
Rarely encounters severe or penetrating trauma cases
1 emergency medicine physician typically on staff per shift
No call coverage involved
