Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Night shifts only, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AMDuration of need is 3 to 6 months
ABEM board certification required
No APP coverage; physician only position
2 shadow shifts required for orientation
11-bed emergency department serving approximately 15,000 to 16,000 patients per year or 30 to 40 patients per day
Average of 4 to 5 daily admissions with approximately 13% admission rate from the ED
Low to mid acuity cases including GI symptoms, gynecological, and pediatric presentations
Not a trauma, stroke, or cardiac center with minimal EMS volume
Patient population is young and generally healthy
Standard ED procedures required, primarily low to mid acuity
Standard ED nursing and support staff on site
Pediatrician on shift in the ED during peak hours
2 ED physicians and 1 pediatrician scheduled per day
