We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Georgia. Join a high-volume Emergency Department with strong specialty support, daily APP coverage, and advanced documentation tools.

Assignment Details

  • Start: ASAP
  • Ongoing assignment
  • No call
  • Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates

Schedule

  • Flexible Emergency Department scheduling
  • No call

Practice Setting

  • Hospital-based Emergency Department
  • Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX
  • Collaborative practice with strong specialty support
  • NP/PA supervision required

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage a broad range of emergency conditions
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
  • Collaborate with consulting specialists
  • Utilize Epic with Dragon and DAX for documentation

Department Details

  • Approximately 40,000 annual ED visits
  • 310-bed hospital
  • 30 Emergency Department beds
  • 38 physician coverage hours daily
  • 24 hours of NP/PA coverage daily

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Board eligibility must be obtained within 5 years of residency
  • Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
  • DEA with Georgia address
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
  • ATLS required (waived for ABEM-certified physicians)
  • Clinical activity/case logs for the past 2 years
  • CME/CEU documentation (20 hours per year for the past 2 years)

Credentialing

  • Pre-application required
  • Temporary privileges considered following CVO file release and credentialing committee approval
  • TB screening required
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season
