• Candidate availability must be provided at the time of name clear
• Must be willing and able to work varied shifts based on facility needs
• Ideal provider is available for approximately 2 weeks/month (15 shifts) ongoing
• Preference is for a physician who can work full-time for an extended period, including some holidays
• Ongoing coverage needs are expected through 2027
• Additional 2027 shifts may include 6:00 PM–3:00 AM or 10:00 PM–7:00 AM, depending on night coverage needs

• Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Future Night Shifts: May include 6:00 PM–3:00 AM or 10:00 PM–7:00 AM depending on facility needs.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with:

• Working varied shift times
• Working weekdays and weekends
• Working some holidays
• Providing approximately 15 shifts/month
• Full-time ongoing coverage
• Adjusting availability based on facility needs

Setting: Emergency Department

Patient Volume: 8–14 patients per day

Admissions: 8–14 per day

Patient Population / Case Mix: Mostly medical, low trauma, medium to high acuity

Required Procedures: N/A

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care
• Evaluate, treat, and disposition patients
• Manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions
• Collaborate with attending physicians
• Coordinate with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
• Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Support Staff: RNs

Must Have:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABEM/AOBEM
• Active Washington medical license
• WA license required — IMLC not accepted
• Required residency/fellowship completed
• Active ACLS
• Active BLS
• Active PALS
• Active DEA
• Available for some or all requested dates
• Willing to work varied shifts
• Available to provide full-time/ongoing coverage preferred

Strongly Preferred:

• Available for approximately 15 shifts/month
• Able to commit to ongoing coverage
• Willing to work holidays
• Able to cover a broad range of shift times
• Available for an extended full-time assignment
