Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Non-ABEM accepted with 2 years of current emergency department experience
  
• All shifts are 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  
• Single physician coverage at each site
  
• No call coverage required
  
• 1-year duration of need
  
• Required procedures include intubations, central line placement, ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repair
  
• Must be efficient in managing high acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, and strokes
  
• Sites include Level IV trauma centers as well as freestanding emergency departments
  
• Average patient census ranges from 45 to 80 patients per day depending on site
  
• APP support available at all sites varying from 9 to 24 hours per day
  
• Patient population includes elderly patients, winter Texans, nursing home residents, and mixed demographics depending on site
  
• Onboarding includes 2-hour orientation on EMR and local quality measures, plus 2-3 required shadow shifts
  
• Case logs will need to be provided during credentialing process
