Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Emergency Department
Annual Patient Volume:
Approximately 28,000–30,000 visits annually
Patient Acuity:
Medium acuity
Patient Volume:
Approximately 2.0–2.3 patients per hour
Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluation and management of emergency department patients
Emergency stabilization and treatment
Collaboration with APCs and hospital staff
Participation in emergency department quality and patient care initiatives
Support & Technology
Support Staff:
Advanced Practice Clinician coverage
Dedicated scribes available
Collaborative emergency department team
EMR System:
Epic
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) – Preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM) with a minimum of two years of recent, continuous emergency medicine experience – Accepted
Minimum two years of straight emergency medicine experience – Required
