Join a dynamic level III Trauma Center in Hastings, NE, as you provide critical emergency care to a diverse patient population. In this vital role, you'll deliver high-quality emergency medicine to patients of all ages across approximately 16,000 annual ED visits. Working within a collaborative team of physicians and APPs, you will cover rotating 12-hour shifts—day and night—helping maintain uninterrupted access to emergency care. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of a well-equipped ED with advanced trauma and treatment facilities.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only)
- Active license or eligible for licensure in Nebraska
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
- Proven ability to manage acutely ill patients across all ages
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a Level III Trauma Center
- Experience with EPIC EMR systems
- Ability to work flexible and rotating shifts
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of emergency medicine residency
- Prior locum or ER experience preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
- No J-1 or H-1B visa candidates accepted
- Credentialing typically completed within 60-90 days
- Willingness to work approximately 6+ shifts per month, with potential to increase
- Travel and lodging expenses reimbursed, with accommodations provided
- This role involves no call requirements and no overtime, with guaranteed 12-hour shifts
