Position Overview
A Regional Medical Center is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) to provide locum coverage beginning September 1, 2026. Providers will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment delivering high-quality emergency care.

Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive emergency assessments and develop treatment plans.
Stabilize and manage acute and critical conditions.
Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic studies.
Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated.
Coordinate patient care with consulting specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary personnel.
Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record.
Participate in facility orientation and comply with all hospital policies and credentialing requirements.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
Candidates trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine only will NOT be considered.
Active Washington, DC medical license or currently obtaining licensure.
Active DEA registration.
Active Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), if applicable.
Ability to provide peer references from providers who have worked directly with the candidate within the past two (2) years.
For APPs (NP/PA)
Current certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Active Washington, DC license or currently obtaining licensure.
Active DEA registration.
