Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity – Nebraska

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in a Healthcare System in Nebraska. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking a consistent schedule in a community-focused healthcare setting.

Position Highlights

• Immediate and ongoing coverage need
• Initial assignment anticipated for approximately 6 months
• Must be available to cover August 3–7
• 10–12 shifts per month
• Primarily day shifts with occasional night coverage available for interested providers
• Flexible scheduling

Facility Overview

• Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System
• 13-bed inpatient facility
• Active Emergency Department
• No inpatient obstetrics services
• No operative/surgical services
• Community-based healthcare environment

Technology

• Meditech EMR

Practice Environment

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, stabilize, and treat a broad range of emergency conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
• Manage patient transfers and higher-acuity cases when appropriate

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved residency in:
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • Family Medicine
• Board Certified and actively maintaining certification through an ABMS-recognized specialty board
• Active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory recognized by the Federation of State Medical Boards

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• ATLS

Ideal Candidate

• Emergency Medicine trained preferred
• Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians with Emergency Department experience are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable practicing in a rural and community-based healthcare environment
