Full Time
Permanent Position
Seeking BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician for dedicated Nocturnist role in Dothan, Alabama
Position Highlights:
Dedicated nocturnist schedule: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Level II Trauma Center with high-acuity patient population
All physicians are residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine
Independent Fast Track staffed by Advanced Practice Providers
Zone-based care model with Physician, APP, and RN working collaboratively in each zone
Equitable scheduling model with a 7-day block off every month
Average of 14 shifts per month
Combination of 9- and 10-hour shifts
Opportunity to teach residents and medical students
Supportive physician-led emergency medicine team
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat emergency department patients during dedicated nocturnist shifts
Manage high-acuity emergency and trauma cases
Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and specialists
Participate in resident and medical student education
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Qualifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
Completion of Emergency Medicine residency training
Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
