Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Position Overview
An established Emergency Medicine group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join a high-performing team providing care across multiple emergency care locations.
This opportunity offers a balanced schedule, strong physician support, excellent operational metrics, and access to advanced trauma and transport services within a large regional referral network.
Position Highlights
* Join a team of:
* 33 Emergency Medicine Physicians
* 5 Advanced Practice Providers
* Coverage across 4 emergency care sites:
* Main Emergency Department
* 2 Freestanding Emergency Departments
* Dedicated Heart Hospital Emergency Department
* Employed physician model
* Additional compensation available for extra shifts
* Group incentive plan tied to positive operating performance
Emergency Department Highlights
* Level II Trauma Center
* Main Emergency Department volume:
* Approximately 32,000 annual visits
* 30% admission rate
* Physician staffing:
* 10-hour and 12-hour shifts
* 50 physician coverage hours daily
* Standard schedule:
* 130 clinical hours monthly
* Approximately 13 shifts per month
Quality & Operational Excellence
* 20-minute door-to-provider time
* Average length of stay approximately 2 hours
* Patient satisfaction consistently exceeds 90%
* Strong focus on efficiency, quality outcomes, and patient experience
Regional Referral Network
* Service area of approximately 800,000 residents
* Comprehensive air transport resources including:
* Careflight helicopter service
* Fixed-wing aircraft transport program
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
* Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
