We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in Valdez, AK. This opportunity provides emergency department and inpatient/hospitalist coverage at a critical access hospital in rural Alaska. Please see below for more information.
Trauma Level 4
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Provide hospitalist-type general med-surg oversight for admitted patients
Cover emergency department and manage patient admissions
Transfer critical patients to ICU team as needed
Provide comprehensive emergency medicine assessment and treatment
Qualifications
Alaska State License or IMLC
DEA
ACLS, ATLS, BLS, BALS, NRP required
