Schedule: On-call position
• On-site coverage: Every Monday (6 hours)
• On-call availability: Monday to Sunday
Duration: Long-term opportunity
• Perform intake health evaluations for patients
• Manage chronic care clinics
• Conduct urgent medical assessments
Treatment & Prescriptions
• Review and validate prescriptions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop individualized treatment plans
Policy & Compliance
• Establish and enforce medical protocols
• Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare standards, legal, and regulatory requirements
Staff Oversight
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and nursing staff
Administration
• Collaborate with facility leadership
• Serve as medical liaison for clinical operations and risk management
• Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license
• Valid DEA registration

Experience
• Prior experience in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Correctional Medicine, or Public Health is strongly preferredEducation & Licensure
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school• Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license
• Valid DEA registration
