Job description
Seeking a BC Family Medicine physician with Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, and rural health experience for an ongoing locums opportunity in Alaska.
Highlights
• July 16 – August 10 and August 19 – 28 coverage needed
• Ongoing opportunity with additional October shifts anticipated
• 10-hour day shifts (8a-6p) + night call
• Approximately 4 shifts per week
• Low volume – average 4 patients per shift
• Epic EMR
• Travel covered
Practice Details
• Critical Access/Rural Hospital setting
• Manage ED patients and provide Hospitalist-type med/surg admissions
• Higher-acuity patients transferred to ICU-capable facilities
• Support from 2 Family Medicine physicians, 3 RNs, ER Tech, and HUC
• Trauma Level IV
Requirements
• Board Certified Family Medicine preferred
• Rural health experience strongly preferred
• Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, and OB experience preferred
• Active AK license or IMLC
• Active DEA
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, BALS, and NRP required
