A respected community hospital in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician to join its leadership team as Assistant Medical Director. This opportunity offers a strong balance of clinical practice and administrative leadership within a collaborative emergency department affiliated with a nationally recognized healthcare system.
Position Highlights
• Assistant Medical Director role within a busy community emergency department
• Combination of clinical and leadership responsibilities
• Opportunity to support departmental operations, quality initiatives, and physician engagement
• Work closely with the Medical Director and hospital leadership on strategic growth and performance improvement
• Mentor Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practice clinicians
• Opportunity to work with residents and medical students in a community-based setting
• Independent contractor (1099) status

Emergency Department Overview
• Modern 24-bed Emergency Department designed for efficient patient flow
• Approximately 27,000 annual ED visits
• Medium-to-high acuity patient population
• Physician coverage providing 24 hours of daily attending support
• Advanced practice clinician coverage totaling 20 hours daily
• Admission rate approximately 15%
• EPIC EMR system
• Helipad access for rapid trauma and tertiary transfers
