We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Oak Bluffs, MA. This is a night shift opportunity at a Critical Access Hospital with limited onsite specialty support. Please see below for more information.
- Critical Access Hospital
- 25 beds
- EMR: Epic
- Average daily census: 20-24 patients
- Approximately 2.5 to 3 patients per hour
- 14% pediatric volume
- Patient population: all ages (Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics)
Job Responsibilities
Manage approximately 2.5 to 3 patients per hour
Care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics (14% pediatric volume)
Operate effectively within a critical access setting with limited onsite specialty support
Document patient encounters in Epic EMR
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts (MA) medical license
ACLS certification
DEA registration (MA)
Working Hours
September: evening and night shifts (3p–12a and 10p–7a)
October through December: night shifts (7p–7a)
Approximately 10–13 shifts per month
13-week assignment beginning 9/1/2026
